WE NEED A VOLTAIRE BIKE LANE!
Please contact the following representatives as much as you would deem fit:
Councilmember Jennifer Campbell (District 2) - 619-236-6622 - jennifercampbell@sandiego.gov
City Administration Building, 202 "C" Street, 10th Floor, San Diego, CA 92101
As 92107 and Voltaire Street evolve, more places become the happening spots we've always wanted them to be. With change comes added traffic resulting in less parking and more danger for bike transit. It is time Voltaire had a dedicated bike lane for the entirety of its XX mile stretch. Implementing a bike lane would ensure added safety for all bike commuters travelling to and from OB, including the hundreds of kids that ride their bikes in rush hour traffic to get to and from Point Loma High. Adding a dedicated bike lane on Voltaire Street would:
Reduce Traffic and parking space congestion
Increase the amount of parking spaces taken by locals especially during busy summer months
Increase safety for our local children
Assist the City with achieving their legally binding obligation to meet Climate Action Goals
